Fire Protection Engineering
Gerry Voss has been in the risk management industry from 1977 until 2009. Prior to joining FFCDI in 2009 as Professional Engineer, he was Senior Account Engineer for Factory Mutual Insurance Company. During his 32 year career at FM Global, he worked with insured and prospective clients in property loss prevention and control. His efforts and responsibilities were focused on assisting clients in assessing the risk of physical loss to their properties and business assets from insured perils of fire and explosion, flood, earthquake, windstorm, etc. He developed risk improvement plans with clients to address the identified exposures to their business from facility, equipment, and natural hazards.
Mr. Voss is a registered Fire Protection Engineer in Minnesota (License Number 47788), a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin (License Number 21391), and a licensed Professional Engineer in Texas (License Number 116623). He earned a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Minnesota in 1976.
Mr. Voss is member of the Minnesota Fire Protection Council, the local chapter of the Society of Fire Protection Engineers. He is also a member of the National Fire Protection Association (Architects, Engineers & Building Officials Section and Building Fire Safety Systems Section).
